I got to read two poetry collections by Colm Kiernan. "Beer book" was published this January and "Golden hour" last year. "Golden hour" contains the poetry in english as well as the spanish translation of the poems. "Golden hour" is focused more on the moments in life being explored through the poet's eyes, awakening a feeling of loneliness as the poet observes the surroundings, trying to make sense of life. "Beer book" I would say includes more irony and humor to the poems, and centers around the mundane and the human experience.

Kiernan writes with a greater awareness of rhyme and tone, making the poetry flow. I got to hear him read some of the poems at a poetry slam event last week, which added to the notion of his awareness of the rhythm of the poetry.
